Last year was SO MUCH FUN. This is an excellent introduction and immersion in coffee growing and processing and is highly recommended for all baristas, roasters, coffee professionals and coffee drinkers. 

Discover the burgeoning coffee industry in South Africa with an immersive tour of a nursery and coffee farms in the KZN South Coast region. This is a unique opportunity to explore the journey of coffee from the plant to your cup, showcasing what is possible in our thriving coffee landscape.

Itinerary:

Departure from Durban 9.00 AM: Meet at Coffee Party at Humble which starts from 7am.

Farm Visits - A variety of growing conditions and styles from small and organic to commercial and intercropping. Exploring different species and varietals. There will be 3 stops including a walk through at Beaver Creek.

Processing demonstration at Beaver Creek Coffee Farm Witness real-time cherry reception, pulping, and fermentation processes. Discussion on Coffee 4.0, traceability and farmer empowerment. Parchment hulling, grading, and storage walkthrough

Coffee Tasting and Lunch. Meet the Farmers and Q&A

Return Departure at +/- 3 PM

What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle.
